Project Description
This 64 page guide helps students understand the physics of staying safe on the road through exploring Newton’s Laws of Motion, exploring what to look for when buying a safe first car and how modern car design helps to lessen the forces generated in a crash, how the speed of a car impacts on its stopping distance, how seatbelts work to reduce injury, distractions and much more. Produced by Refraction Media on behalf of the NRMA, it introduces Stage 5 (Yr 9-10) to the concepts and physics behind car safety.
“The team at Refraction is responsive, creative and collaborative. They have delivered products that have exceeded our expectations and we look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with Refraction.” Venera Owens, Senior Manager, Motoring Education & Information
