Mathspace is a new online teaching platform developed in Australia and being used around the world. It’s part textbook, exercise book and exam prep tool. While it can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection, the real strength of Mathspace is how it’s being used in classrooms.
Maths can be a tricky subject for students and whatever the student’s level, Westpac thinks there’s no such thing as too much support. That’s why they’re putting their hand up to help today’s students know their numbers – making Mathspace Essentials free for all Australians in celebration of their 200th birthday.
Mathspace Essentials allows you to choose practice questions according to year level, subject and state curriculum. It covers topics from year 3 to year 12 and is aligned to the Australian curriculum, Naplan and high school IB maths. You can search by topic area and watch thousands of support videos made by real maths teachers!
Students can handwrite their working step-by-step and receive instant feedback on practice questions. Specific, relevant hints and videos help them at any step they get stuck.
